National Volunteer Week is the largest celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia, and provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our communities and to say thank you to the more than 5 million Australians who volunteer.
The Leadership Involvement & Volunteer Experience Unit (LIVE) at The University of Melbourne is hosting a Seminar with a panel of speakers to share insights into the value of community engagement and volunteering within the context of higher education and the broader Australian community.
Professor Phil Batterham and Gail Cumming (Deputy CEO of Volunteering Victoria) will share insights into the value of community engagement and volunteering within the context of the new Melbourne Model and the broader Australian community.
Peter Willis, a second year Arts student will also share his unique and life changing volunteering experiences in Cambodia and involvement with a local organisation.
