WHAT IS HUMAN RACE ‘10?
Human Race is a half-day foot race around inner Melbourne, where teams of four must navigate to a series of checkpoints spread around town, in the spirit of The Amazing Race. At each checkpoint, you’ll be required to perform a challenging task in order to progress to the next one – challenges which will draw on every skill you can possible conceive of – problem solving, teamwork, strength, endurance, and maybe even some culinary clout!
WHAT IS THE HUMAN RACE FOR?
In keeping with the Human Race tradition, this year’s race will raise funds for an organisation involved in humanitarian work in Sri Lanka, and an organisation involved in community development with Australia.
Human Race 2010, through your team’s fundraising efforts, is raising funds for 2 worthy beneficiaries: Caritas Australia’s Livelihood Project in Sri Lanka, and the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre in Melbourne.
HOW CAN I BE A PART OF HUMAN RACE ‘10?
Anyone can be a part of Human Race ‘10. Just follow these easy steps:
Step 1: Convince your best mates to join you, and come up with the most ridiculous team name you can think of. Your team can have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 members.
Step 2: Register your team online here before 1 Feb 2010, and pay the small registration fee using our secure online payment method. A late fee applies after this date.
Step 3: Create your team fundraising page here and raise a minimum of $500 for your team (or $125 per person for a 4-member team).
Step 4: Bring yourself and your team to Human Race ‘10 on 21 February 2010 for the chance race for lots of great prizes!

HISTORY OF HUMAN RACE
Human Race is Palmera Projects’ annual signature fundraising event. Palmera Projects’ HUMAN RACE has run successfully in Sydney for the past four years, providing much needed funding to vulnerable, marginalised and disadvantaged communities. In fact Sydney raised over $75 000 in 2009. Now it is Melbourne’s turn to host this eminent event and we would love for you to join us!!!
Based on television’s hit show the AMAZING race – Palmera Projects HUMAN RACE 2010 is a race for humanity. All teams will raise funds for our worthwhile causes in the weeks leading up to the event.
