Puneet Gupta – Director/Founder

Puneet is the founder and director of ECNA, a unique student-run, not for-profit organization providing a centralized forum for students to actively participate in extra-curricular endeavours. He is in his final year at University of Melbourne, completing Bachelors of Commerce and Engineering (Mechanical) where he is a member of the Student Ambassador Leadership Program.

Shreenal Ruparelia – President

As the president of ECNA, Shreenal’s role is to provide leadership to the ECNA team and develop a strategic plan to advance the team’s mission and objectives and to promote growth as an organization. She is currently in her penultimate year of Bachelor of Commerce and Arts. Having lived in a 3rd world country, she understands how privileged we are and hence feels a great need to make the most of what opportunities we have been given. ECNA is an avenue for her to help students find their passion and potentials and therefore pursuing greatness in their field.

Vincent Sun – Vice President

Vincent aims to develop networks with numerous universities in Australia and assist tertiary students set up their own local ECNA chapters. He is currently studying medicine at the University of Melbourne and has a strong interest in philosophy, in particular; Stoicism. Stoicism challenges people to go beyond their comfort zones and to have an inner locus of control in every aspect of their lives.

Mahmood Hossain – Executive Secretary

Mahmood  is in his penultimate year at the University of Melbourne, studying a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance. He enjoys sport, travelling, music and socializing and he aspires to meet new and interesting people who also have a commitment to improving their own lives through the empowerment of others.

Ajayraj Chawla – I.T. Officer

Ajayraj holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Guru Jambeshwar University, India. He has been awarded for outstanding contribution to the University’s Industry Interaction cell and Best Summer Internship Project Report. Currently pursuing Masters of Information Systems in The University of Melbourne majoring in IT Service Management and Data Analytics, Ajayraj has a passion for photography and traveling. Being part of ECNA has further enhanced his learning coinciding with the vision of ECNA. In addition, he is looking forward to adding value to the group from his previous work experience in IT and Consulting.

Simone Lim – Public Relations Officer

Simone is in her third year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Economics and Finance, and hope to pursue further study in the law next year. Throughout university she has participated in a range of community service roles including Let’s Talk Conversation Group and the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars’ Program. Her role as a Public Relations officer at ECNA has enabled her to not only enhance and apply her analytical skills and corporate working experience from a commercial perspective, but it gave her the opportunity to nurture her passion for philanthropy.

Emily Osmond – Public Relations Officer

Emily is currently in her third year of the Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Development Studies. After high school she took a year off studying to travel around Europe, also fitting in Egypt and Hong Kong which was an amazing experience. Her interest lies in media and communications, law, and public service work. Being part of ECNA is a privilege as it allows her develops her skills and work with people from different background.  Emily considers her involvement in a variety of activities outside of her studies as a very rewarding experience.

Danish Khan – Sponsorship Director

Danish is in his third year of bachelors of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance. He hasn’t lived in the same city for more than 3 years since I was 9, which means he has been able to expose himself to an array of different cultures over the years. He was the Asia number 2 in golf at the age of 14 before he decided not to pursue Golf as a career. Having studied performing arts extensively through high school, he is an avid fan of drama, notably the more non-conventional styles such as Absurdist and Brechtian theatre. Through ECNA, being able to bring likeminded people together and then helping them get out of their comfort zones and push their boundaries is what makes him want to be part of such an organization.

Rachel Liang – Editor

Rachel completed her Bachelor Com/Arts (Hons) at the University of Melbourne and is currently doing her Master in Educational Psychology. It is her aim, as the editor of ECNA to share, educate and inspire students through the monthly ECNA E-News, to discover their passions and potentials by involving in a wide range of extracurricular opportunities. Rachel loves to see the world with her own feet and has this quirkiness of falling for a culture in a short period of time and be fully immersed before she discovered a passion for another culture.

Yan Lin Lee – State Development Officer

Yanlin chose to join the ECNA team in light of its vision to provide students with an accessible platform through which they can enhance their professional and soft skills. Yan-Lin is currently completing her penultimate year in Commerce and Law at the University of Melbourne.  In her role as State Development Officer, Yan-Lin is responsible for expanding ECNA to universities Australia wide. Of particular interest, Yan-Lin was awarded the Encouragement Award for her outstanding performance as a competitor in Business Icon 2009, a yearly entrepreneurial competition. She is also a Melbourne University Student Ambassador, having successfully graduated from the Student Ambassador Leadership Program.

Anh Pham – Project Innovation Officer

Anh is in her final year completing a bachelor of Engineering (civil) and a bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne. She is an active pool player and supports the Melbourne Victory team. Her role in ECNA is to generate and facilitate innovative ideas and strategies for ECNA’s potential future growth. Being versatile and flexible, her high enthusiastic nature is the main drive for this position. With a diverse background Anh likes to communicate and connect people on different levels. She finds herself perfectly fit for this position while socializing and helping others to create something meaningful for the organization and its purpose.

Manting Chong – Professional and Youth Development Officer

Manting is in her first year at University of Melbourne, completing a Bachelors of Commerce. She is a member of the AIESEC student organisation and the Chinese Debating Group.

Rateeb Bhuiyan – ECNA Monash Affiliate

Rateeb was greatly interested in being part of the molding process of ECNA, being relatively new he aspires to help it expand and achieve its goals. He joined ECNA because he is passionate about protecting the environment and sustainability, and also because he believes ECNA can help him develop personally as well as professionally. Currently he is in his third year at Monash University, studying bachelor of Commerce/Law. On a lighter note he is a huge Manchester United soccer club and follows their games zealously. He aspires to contribute to the future projects and goals of ECNA.
