People who get ahead of others succeed because they use the time others waste to develop and nurture themselves. This is why procrastination is a bad habit. You are letting yourself down – but you know that deep down, right? With the post-holiday bluessticking you in a glut of inefficiency, it is in your interest to stop the day from running away from you without getting anything productive down. I’ll let you in on a secret – it’s far better to concentrate on one thing at a time than multitask. This is also called the Pomodoro technique. You’ll complete what you need to finish much faster. As the proverb goes, it is only the farmer who faithfully plants the seeds in the spring that reaps a harvest in the autumn. What it does not add is the more labour you put in, the harvest you gain will be better. A sure way to overlook success is by missing the opportunities you have to become one.
