Role Overview:
Our events aim to inspire and educate students about the issues we face in today’s local and global community. By collaborating with various corporations and community organisations ECNA hosts interactive forums and workshops that not only educate students but help develop invaluable skills at the same time. Our events are an opportunity to network with like-minded students and external organisations with volunteer positions.
Events are based on ECNA’s three pillars:
Environment – Issues such as climate change, sustainability and renewable energy.
Human Rights – Issues such as lack of community integration, refugee rights and services for aboriginals.
Professional Development – Issues such as corporate social responsibility, responsible investing and social entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute events strategies with guidance from Events Manager
- Plan and organise events in collaboration with other Events Officers, with assistance from Events Director
- Coordinate workflow and schedules amongst Events Officers
- Work closely with other ECNA departments to ensure they are aware of their role in organising upcoming events
- Assist in setting up, running and packing up of ECNA events
- Accountable to the Events Director
Selection Criteria:
- Consistently proactive and self-motivated, taking initiative whenever possible
- Able to work both independently and as a part of a team
- Ability to work with limited direction to initiate procedures, set priorities and manage tasks
- Advanced level of English communication, both written and oral
- Ability to plan, coordinate and execute projects whilst meeting deadlines and balancing competing demands.
