ECNA’s Definition of extracurricular activities
“Extracurricular activities are activities performed by students that fall outside the realm of the normal curriculum of school or university education.”
The following are key criteria ECNA follows when supporting prospective extracurricular activities:
- Skill development of participants through the organisation we are supporting
- Interest a range of audiences
- Available to young people in Australia aged 16-24 (If restricted to a specific audience, must be explicitly stated)
- Opportunity can be from a short-term (A few hours) to a long-term (Year-long/indefinite) commitment
- Opportunity can be held locally (in Australia) or overseas.
- Non-partisan and non-religious organisation/activity.
Our networks are not limited to the above, however, every effort is made to meet the criteria listed above.
