Program Description
Amnesty International is a global movement of individuals committed to defending human rights. Our vision is a world in which everyone enjoys all rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights instruments. Our mission is to undertake research and action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of rights.

Testimonials
“Amnesty International has had thousands of ‘good news’ stories over the decades. A recent story is that of an Iranian student activist and blogger Kianoosh Sanjari who was released from prison after over two months detention. He was held incommunicado at an unknown location. Amnesty International launched a web action on 10 November calling on the Iranian authorities to release him immediately or to make public any charges against him. This is just one example of how Amnesty International’s campaigning works.”
