Students for a Sustainable Campus

Even some of the SIMPLEST changes such as setting all library printers to print double sided, only having recyclable plates in union house or even starting up a community garden and compost heap on campus can have huge POSITIVE effects. To create drastic environmental change we need to think GLOBALLY and take action LOCALLY, and it can start RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW on your university campus!

Students for a Sustainable Campus aims to engage YOU in environmentally sustainable thinking practices. Through a four part workshop series we will provide you with the tools, motivation and support to create and implement sustainability initiatives on campus.

The FREE four part workshop series will be held at The University of Melbourne on TUESDAY evenings from 5:30 - 7:30pm from the 9th – 30th March 2010.

The workshop series will:

INSPIRE you to value environmental sustainability by gaining knowledge about the key aspects of sustainability

EDUCATE you about what is currently being done in the sustainability arena, key sustainability issues and how you can be an effective sustainability leader

Encourage you to THINK outside the square to develop your own sustainability initiatives on campus

Support you with resources and tools as you ACT upon your goals and work towards creating a more sustainable campus

Please note:  Participants will be required to attend ALL four sessions

All the places have been filled up! Registration is now closed.
